Larrick Treehouse Update! Sliding barn windows and doors are installed and look amazing! Dad’s also been hard at work on some nice site improvements (I’m sure it’s been a pain trying not to disturb the surrounding trees). What do you think spending a night in this thing should go for on airbnb?
Mad treehouse progress! That’s the covered bridge in the first foreground, and a detail shot of the deck railings. Nice daytime light/shadows all around and the clear roof seems to be staying nice & clean despite a ton of pollen this Spring. (Might need to plan for a future gate to access the future zipline, no?)
Treehouse roof is on! It took a whole family effort to get these corrugated clear acrylic roofing panels installed, but they look incredible! One note: the double purlin seen in the top photo is intentional - it’s going to support a pulley system for delivering goods from the ground through a sliding track window on that side. You know, in case you have to raise the suspension bridge but still need snacks.
Weather (and life) back east has slowed progress on the treehouse over the past few weeks, but the roof purlins are now in place, the openings are framed out, and the clear acrylic roofing is being laid down. Thanks again to Pops for doing all the heavy lifting, this is looking awesome!
